We’ve just taken on Rieker for ladies – so here’s an F.A.Q guide to one of our new brands here at Jake Shoes.

Who Are Rieker Shoes:

Rieker were first founded in Germany in 1874, as a family shoe maker, something it still is today (except now it is in it’s fifth generation!) Fast forward to 2020, their head office is now in Switzerland, and they provide shoes for over 9000 independent retailers like us, mainly in Europe. And almost everything is made in house by themselves from design to production in their factories.

Are Rieker Shoes Comfy?

Well, we think so, in fact, when Jayne tried them on at our first buying appointment, she was amazed at the comfort of them, particularly the soft insoles, and as we’ve been asked to stock them many times, we are guessing you guys, think so too! Their antistress technology they use in every pair makes the shoes super shock absorbent, and they are really flexible when walking and handling.

How do Rieker shoes fit?

Well, that’s a million dollar question! Most of our range available on our website has been carefully chosen and tried on, so whilst they are not super wide fitting, we believe they are roomy, and have a little more room in them than your standard shoe.

Are Rieker good for people with feet problems?

Well as we just mentioned, their anti stress technology features make them super shock absorbent, and a lot of their sandals can be adjusted. Issues like bunions and Plantar fasciitis often require more consideration when it comes to choosing ladies footwear styles, and whilst Rieker shoes aren't medically approved, their design features could prove helfpul!

Who are Rieker Shoes For?

Well, traditionally, Rieker shoes have always favoured an older customer, however these days they are definitely becoming more on trend with their designs and favour a younger market. We have started to sell them to all ages in-store, so we would say they are for everyone.
